Joining HI Now Daily are Chef Steve Samson and Dina Samson, the husband-and-wife team behind Los Angeles restaurant Rossoblu. Chef Steve shares a taste of his Italian culinary heritage with a demonstration of handmade tortelloni with brown butter and sage, highlighting the Festival’s 2026 theme, Traditions & Heritage. Both chefs are participating in HFWF’s sold-out 24K Magic event, celebrating Hawai‘i’s vibrant culinary scene and locally grown ingredients.

Dina also shares a preview of the FEAST Summit, taking place Thursday, November 5, at the Sheraton Waikīkī Beach Resort, where she’ll participate in Breaking the Kitchen Door: Women Leading the Future of Food & Hospitality. The discussion explores women’s leadership, mentorship and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.

More than a celebration of great food, HFWF is a program of the nonprofit Hawai‘i Ag & Culinary Alliance, supporting culinary education, workforce development and local agriculture. Through hands-on experiences alongside renowned chefs, the Festival provides Hawai‘i’s culinary students with opportunities to learn, build connections and gain valuable industry experience.

The Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival continues through November 8. For FEAST Summit tickets and information on remaining events, visit hawaiifoodandwinefestival.com.
