HONOLULU (HI Now) - Oahu filmmaker Tiffany Liu and producer Sarah Anne Jung join HI Now Daily to talk about STAINED, a 20-minute short film screening at the Hawai’i International Film Festival (HIFF).

This is HIFF’s 46th annual festival, which runs from October 21st-November 5th on O’ahu, and November 6th-15th on neighbor islands.

STAINED is an intimate drama that follows an art therapist and nanny as they are unexpectedly brought together one night by their wealthy client, forcing three generations of women to confront the stains of their past. As long-held tensions resurface and emotional wounds are reopened, they begin to question whether every stain can truly be washed away.

Watch the filmmakers discuss the story, the collaborative process behind bringing it to the screen, and how audiences can see STAINED in HIFF’s Made in Hawaiʻi Shorts 2 program.
