Sponsored by Hawaii International Film Festival

46th annual Hawaii International Film Festival HIFF 46 runs Oct 21 to Nov 15 with 84 films statewide plus the HIFILM Industry Conference Oct 24 to 25 in Honolulu.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Now in its 46th year, HIFF continues its mission to advance cultural exchange across the Pacific Rim while celebrating island voices alongside filmmakers from Asia, the Pacific and around the world.

This year opens with special meaning as the World Premiere of THE NAVIGATOR honors Nainoa Thompson and the Polynesian Voyaging Society, a story of ancestral knowledge, connection across Oceania and responsibility to the next generation.

The celebration returns Opening Night to the historic Hawaii Theatre, creating a homecoming that feels rooted in community and pride.

HIFF 46 runs October 21 through November 5 on Oahu and continues through November 15 on Maui, Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island of Hawaii.

The lineup features 84 films, including 34 World Premieres, six North American Premieres, 12 U.S. Premieres and three International Premieres, with festival discoveries, awards season contenders, Indigenous storytellers and films made in Hawaii.

The two day event brings together filmmakers, creators, producers, executives and industry leaders from Hawaii, Hollywood and across the Asia Pacific for panels, workshops, networking events and special gatherings.
