HONOLULU (HI Now) - Stephen King fans have a chilling new way to experience one of the most famous horror stories ever told.
Hawaii Opera Theatre is transforming The Shining into a live opera, blending powerful vocals, dramatic storytelling and eerie atmosphere into one unforgettable night at the theatre.
The story follows a family who moves into the isolated Overlook Hotel for the winter, where dark history and strange visions begin to take over.
The HI Now Daily studio got a haunted preview when a creepy hotel guest appeared mid interview and left everyone laughing and a little spooked. That playful scare captures the spirit of this production, which leans into suspense, mystery and show stopping music.
This is a limited time, plan ahead events you will not want to miss. Opera lovers and horror fans alike can enjoy world class singing paired with a story full of twists and tension.
