HONOLULU (HI Now) - Every child in Hawaii deserves someone who shows up just for them. Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii creates one to one mentoring relationships that help local youth build confidence, stay connected in school, and dream bigger about their futures.

Through the Aloha 100 effort, the organization rallied the community to recruit mentors and support keiki. That momentum continues with a steady need for volunteers and youth referrals across the islands.

That support looks like simple and consistent time together, with just a few outings each month making a lasting difference for a child and their family. President and CEO Tyler Kurashige joins HI Now Daily to share real match stories, how to become a Big, and how to enroll a child who could use extra guidance and friendship.

Regular programming is open now, and families and future mentors are encouraged to take the next step.

Viewers can also plan ahead for a night that gives back. Perfect Pairings By The Sea returns with a fresh format featuring small bites from various chefs, thoughtful wine pairings, and live entertainment.
