HONOLULU (HI Now) - Breast health awareness can start with a simple gesture.
Susan G. Komen’s new limited-edition Don’t Fail the Girls Giving Tee lets people tap a smartphone against its sleeve to make a direct donation, supporting the organization’s work to meet community needs and invest in breast cancer research.
The tee was created by designer Stella Jean, and the campaign aims to encourage younger women to pay attention to breast health.
The Giving Tee arrives ahead of the Susan G. Komen Hawaiʻi More Than Pink Walk on Sunday, October 11, at Kapiolani Park. The morning begins with a Zumba warm-up at 7 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. and the walk at 9 a.m. Registration is free, and participants are invited to walk in honor of someone they love.
Find the Giving Tee at komen.org/dont-fail-the-girls/giving-tee, and register for the Hawaiʻi walk at komen.org/hawaiiwalk. More information is also available on Susan G. Komen’s Facebook page.
