HONOLULU (HI Now) - Meaningful learning takes root when students, educators, and families discover ideas together to create positive change in the world.
For 65 years, Le Jardin Academy has nurtured that shared purpose, growing from a modest one-room preschool into an expansive 24-acre International Baccalaureate World School in Kailua.
Across every grade level, students cultivate curiosity through inquiry, mentorship across age groups, and hands-on projects that encourage them to ask deep questions and practice hana pono.
As the school looks toward its next 65 years, students continue to expand their horizons inside the Arts and Innovation Center. The collaborative space unites robotics, design, engineering, and digital media to help young learners translate questions into real-world impact. From drafting state legislation to developing award-winning apps, students learn early on that their ideas can spark genuine solutions for their community.
Families and neighbors can experience the campus culture firsthand this fall through upcoming community events. The school will host Community’s Turn to Learn on October 15, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by an Open House on November 7, 2026.
