HONOLULU (HI Now) - Music holds the enduring strength to bring people together, uplift spirits, and honor shared journeys across the islands.
This Saturday, September 19, the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra joins forces with celebrated Hawaiian musicians Amy Hānaialiʻi, Jeff Peterson, John Cruz, Kalaʻe Camarillo, Keola Beamer, Raiatea Helm, and Sean Hickey to honor the resilience, legacy, and heart of Lahaina, Kīhei, and Kula through an evening of live performance.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Kāʻanapali Beach, the Royal Lahaina Resort and Bungalows hosts this free gathering for kūpuna, ʻohana, and visitors alike. Gates open at 4 p.m. alongside a vibrant mākeke and local food offerings at The Branches. Guests will have time to browse, eat, and settle onto the adjacent Kāʻanapali Golf Course before the main concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
With open seating ready to accommodate up to 10,000 attendees, finding a spot under the stars is simple for families planning ahead. Attendees can take advantage of on-site and overflow parking, the Kāʻanapali Trolley, event shuttles, or rideshare drop-offs, while viewers across the state can tune in live on K5 at 6:30 p.m.
