HONOLULU (HI Now) - United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii serves over 500 keiki and their families across the state, relying on dedicated social workers, therapists, and administrators to make a lasting difference every single day.
Community members can help champion this mission while enjoying a full day of family entertainment at the 37th Annual Great Hawaiian Rubber Duckie Race on September 19. Held on the promenade behind the Hawaii Convention Center, the festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with live music performances, keiki games, shave ice, and an exciting fire knife performance by VAʻA Beyond.
The main highlight takes place at 1:19 p.m. when 20,000 adopted rubber ducks plunge into the water to race toward the finish line. Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, including a trip for two to Japan for first place and a trip for two anywhere Alaska Airlines flies for the 37th place finisher.
Supporters who adopt a duck today can also score an exclusive HI Now Daily perk. Type “Koozie” in the “How did you hear about the Duck Race?” section during checkout to receive a limited edition Super Duck Koozie, the ultimate sidekick to keep drinks cool while cheering on the race. Please note that koozies must be picked up in person at the event.
