HONOLULU (HI Now) - The excitement of collegiate sports is about more than the games, it is about the shared pride and connection of the Hawaii community.
The highly anticipated Outrigger Invitational volleyball tournament starts tonight, September 3 at 6:30 p.m.
Listeners and viewers spoke, and the broadcast team responded by bringing back cherished pregame moments. Starting tonight, the live broadcast will once again feature the National Anthem, Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī, and the exciting player introductions.
To make these evenings even more special, Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning musical artists from Kani Ka Pila Grille at the Outrigger Reef Waikīkī Beach Resort will perform Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī live on the court each night, featuring Anthony Pfluke, Ei Nei, and Rickey Kamai.
Beyond the thrilling court action, fans can also see their favorite athletes in a completely different light. A special segment highlights the team members sharing their favorite recipes and showing off their skills in the kitchen. Standout player Miliana Sylvester and the rest of the team are ready to bring energy both on and off the court this weekend.
