HONOLULU (HI Now) - Celebrating its forty-fourth year, this weekend event is the largest fundraiser for the Hawaii United Okinawa Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cultural education.
By bringing together generations of local families, the celebration ensures that unique Okinawan heritage, values, and arts continue to flourish across the islands.
This year, the event reaches a new level of excitement through a unique three-way collaboration between the non-profit, local favorite BeerLab HI, and the creative minds at In4mation. These local brands have joined forces to design exclusive merchandise and custom craft beer cans that honor traditional Okinawan heritage with a modern, twist.
Beyond the special merchandise, the festival features a vibrant Country Store run by passionate, young volunteers who are stepping up as the next generation of community leaders. Visitors can explore a treasure trove of local goodies, small treats, and unique items that make excellent keepsakes while directly supporting the cause.
Check out the shopping September 5 from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. and September 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hawaii Convention Center. For more information on the event schedule and to support the organization, visit OkinawanFestival.com or check out @okinawanfestival on Instagram.
