Shop local and enjoy live music for free at Hawaii’s Finest Best of Hawaii weekend event Celebrate local creators at the free Best of Hawaii event this weekend at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall with 250 vendors, live music, food, and fun contests.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - The passionate team at Hawaii’s Finest created the Best of Hawaii event to serve as the ultimate platform they wished they had when first starting out. By bringing together community members and local makers, this free weekend gathering is designed entirely to celebrate, support, and uplift the people of Hawaii.

Running from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, the Makeke will welcome shoppers on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, this massive marketplace features over 250 local vendors, including 30 hot food booths serving up delicious local favorites.

VIP Shoppers can explore the elevated 1,500 square foot HIFI Lounge, which features over 20 exclusive collections and 25,000 items at half price. Visitors can also enjoy interactive activities such as chocolate making, poke making, kendama playing, and fun photobooth opportunities.

The excitement continues with an incredible lineup of live entertainment and interactive contests for both keiki and adults. Ukulele players can show off their skills in a special competition hosted by local music icon Kelly Boy De Lima.

On Saturday, August 22, the excitement moves to the Blaisdell Arena for the Best of Hawaii Music Festival, which features an outstanding lineup of local artists including Three Plus, Ooklah, Johnny Suite, High Watah, and more. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Among the highly anticipated performances, local favorite High Watah is ready to take the stage with the debut of their brand new music. Known for their local island rhythms and soulful melodies, the band is celebrating a major creative milestone that represents their deep passion for island storytelling. Fans can look forward to hearing these fresh tracks live for the very first time during their Saturday arena performance.

While admission to the market is free, attendees can elevate their experience by purchasing a VIP pass. The special ticket provides early entry to beat the crowds, exclusive vendor discounts, and a giant momona bag to fill with local treasures. Parking will also be available for $8.
