HONOLULU (HI Now) - International jazz guitarist Haru Takauchi is returning to Hawaii to share his worldly musical perspective with local audiences.
Originally from Japan, Takauchi has built a global career that spans the vibrant jazz hubs of Tokyo and New York. His latest projects reflect this cross-cultural journey, blending the collaborative spirit of international jazz masters with his own distinct acoustic and electric styling. This weekend, local music lovers have the rare opportunity to witness his artistic conversations up close in an intimate waterfront setting.
Takauchi will take the stage with an exceptional quartet of local legends, including Noel Okimoto on percussion, Robert Shinoda on guitar, and John Kolivas on bass. Audiences can expect a dynamic, unscripted performance that showcases the deep connection and spontaneous chemistry between these master musicians.
The performance will take place at Kaponos at the Lounge in Hawaii Kai. Guests can choose between two dinner show times on Saturday, August 22.
