HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Honolulu Police Department’s Sergeant Walter Espiritu discusses careers in law enforcement, detailing the following opportunities: Metropolitan Police Recruit (MPR), Police Service Officer (Cadets), and Dispatch. Officer Espiritu shares what a wonderful opportunity it is for cadets to start a career with HPD. On the show he even takes the HI Now host outside to see the HPD recruitment vehicle.
The City and County of Honolulu will be participating in the Career Expo at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, on July 29, 2026, from 9am to 2pm. We have 16 departments in attendance at the expo.
