HONOLULU (HI Now) - Honolulu Night Market is built for an outing to be in community and enjoy local talents. Saturday, July 18 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., three city streets in Our Kakaʻako turn into a walkable celebration of local culture. During this event you can meet the makers behind your favorite finds, discover new artists, and spend the night in a space designed for gathering.
This free event is family friendly and pet friendly, with more than 70 local food vendors, retailers, and artisans, plus interactive cultural experiences that spotlight the neighborhood’s stories. Expect a lineup that makes it easy to plan ahead, with live entertainment and performances including Hālau o Nāpualaʻikauikaʻiu, Johnny Suite, Bella and Tehani, Kailua Moon, Taimane, and Anuhea, hosted by Miss Hawaiʻi Carly Yoshida.
There’s also a community voting moment built into the night. At The Barn at SALT at Our Kakaʻako, guests can check out Made Live, a fashion showcase inspired by cultural storytelling, then vote for the designs that speak to them most. Another interactive stop, Poetry of Paʻakai, invites attendees to share personal reflections connected to Kakaʻako’s salt harvesting history, which a local poet will transform into live typewriter poetry on the spot.
If you’re planning your route, organizers recommend walking, biking, carpooling, or using rideshare, with street parking and limited public garages available. To learn more and get updates, visit their website and follow @hnlnightmarket and @ourkakaako.
