HONOLULU (HI Now) - Fresh off a big weekend at the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, local singer, songwriter, and musician Izik, is stepping into August with a full circle moment that feels earned.
Izik’s third album KŌWĀ just took home Alternative Album of the Year, alongside another major honor for Male Vocalist of the Year. This celebration is not just about trophies, it is about the people who have been listening, showing up, and growing with him over the years.
This month also marks ten years since Izik’s first album Obsidian, a milestone that frames his current sound as something built over time. He describes his mission as making music that stays genuine, pushes creative boundaries, and stays true to his story. During today’s HI Now Daily live segment, he brings it to life on guitar with a performance of “Until The End of Time.”
