HONOLULU (HI Now) - Nothing says summer in Hawaiʻi like live music and a crowd that feels like family. This Fourth of July weekend festivities starts tomorrow, July 3 with the Hawaii Kai Independence Day Market and Concert at Hawaiʻi Kai Shopping Center. Expect free admission, live performances, local vendors, and family friendly activities that turn your Friday night out into a full on celebration.
This event is about celebrating Hawaiʻi talent and creating a place where neighbors can gather, shop, eat, and sing along. The Henry Kapono and Friends concert features an incredible lineup of Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artists, plus a market with 30 plus local artisans, specialty vendors, and community partners throughout the center.
One of the must see moments is Scott Buchholz, a newly selected artist in the Henry Kapono Foundation On The Rise program. He will share his sound live, including his original songs Carrying My Home and Gingham Summertime. He is also set to join Hawaiian Style Band on stage, making it a rare chance to catch an emerging artist in the spotlight alongside an iconic group.
The party keeps rolling into the Official After Party with Tavana at Kapono’s at the Lounge, plus a VIP Lounge Experience that offers a comfortable waterfront retreat right in the heart of the celebration.
