HONOLULU (HI Now) - Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach is unveiling a fresh new look. After a multi million dollar transformation, the 405 room property is now a lifestyle forward home base where passion unwinds and plays, blending modern island design with the energy of the neighborhood just steps from Waikiki Beach.
The why is simple. Travelers want comfort and a sense of place, with Waikiki still right outside the door. General Manager Paul Garcia says the renovation focuses on more welcoming spaces and an easier flow for guests. Rooms were redesigned with a relaxed island look, and common areas now center on an open air lobby feel and a pool courtyard. On site options include mini golf, fitness, spa services, and practical beach ready amenities for quick trips to the shore.
Food and drinks are also part of the revamp. Aloha Amigo opened in 2025 and serves island influenced Mexican dishes, it also earned a Honolulu Magazine Hale Aina Silver award for Best Mexican Cuisine. Peppermint Café and Pool Bar sits by the pool and recently won Hale Aina Gold for Best Bar. Alii Coffee Co rounds it out with locally crafted coffee and house specialties, including coffee based drinks.
Want a summer staycation upgrade? The redesigned 850 square foot penthouse delivers a residential style retreat with a full executive kitchen, wraparound lanai views, and room to host everything from family stays to small celebrations.
