HONOLULU (HI Now) - Why go? Because Tahiti Fête is bringing the rhythm, color, and spirit of Tahiti to Honolulu for a historic first. After more than 35 years of celebrating Tahitian culture and dance, the beloved competition makes its Hawaiʻi debut July 3, 4, and 5 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena.

Known as the largest Tahitian dance competition in the United States, Tahiti Fête gathers incredible performers from around the world. This year, 12 groups from California, Mexico, Japan, and Hawaiʻi will take the stage with powerful drumming, handcrafted costumes, and choreography that shares the stories and traditions of the Tahitian people.

It is more than a competition. Guests can enjoy Polynesian food, shop artisan crafts, and take part in cultural dance workshops led by esteemed competition judges. Local group Te Vai Ura Nui will also share the discipline, beauty, and deep cultural pride behind authentic Tahitian dance.
