HONOLULU (HI Now) - Summer plans just got a whole lot dreamier. The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Parks and Recreation is bringing the vibes with free Twilight Summer Concerts in some of Oʻahu’s most beautiful botanical gardens, plus the return of the dazzling Midsummer Night’s Gleam at Foster Botanical Garden.
From June through July, families can enjoy hour-long concerts at Foster, Ho‘omaluhia, and Wahiawā botanical gardens, with sounds ranging from big bands and bagpipes to jazz, taiko, and island jams. Guests are welcome to bring outside food, drinks, seats, and blankets, making it an easy and affordable way to gather, relax, and enjoy live music surrounded by nature.
Then on Saturday, July 18, Foster Botanical Garden transforms into a glowing Downtown Honolulu oasis for Midsummer Night’s Gleam from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The all-ages event features storytelling, games, crafts, bubbles, plant giveaways, garden demonstrations, food trucks, live performances, and sparkling lights woven throughout the 14-acre garden.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for ages 6 to 17, and free for keiki 5 and under. Presale tickets begin June 15 at 9 a.m. at bit.ly/MidsummerGleam, with in-person advanced sales at Foster Botanical Garden from June 29 through July 16.
