HONOLULU (HI Now) - Kaulalani from Kula o Kālaniokeʻa presents the Hawaiian Word of the Week is Huʻa, which means ʻbubbleʻ
During playtime, keiki (children) love blowing and chasing bubbles, often calling out “E hoʻopoh i nā huʻa!” — meaning “Pop the bubbles!” Through this joyful activity, children build their bodies, connect with one another, and grow their confidence using ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (the Hawaiian language) every day.
Stayed tuned next week for another Hawaiian Word of the Week.
