HONOLULU (HI Now) - Triton Oshiro, general manager of 916 Grill St. & ShabuZen in Waipahu, joined HI Now Daily on March 13 to demonstrate the restaurant’s dual-concept menu, which offers shabu shabu on one side and yakiniku on the other. The restaurant, located at 94-818 Uke’e Street, features locally influenced flavors drawing from Japanese and Korean BBQ traditions. Its all-you-can-eat yakiniku menu starts at $30 per person with three options. Oshiro said the restaurant’s two sides differ in decor, lighting and menu style. 916 Grill St. & ShabuZen is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
