Aloha United Way workplace giving campaigns – It’s more than a donation Suzanne Skjold from Aloha United Way and Sharon Shigemoto from Hawaiʻi Gas shares more information on their workplace giving campaign!

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Aloha United Way has been serving Hawaiʻi for more than 100 years to amplify the impact of services and programs that make our community stronger, more resilient, and equitable. Our organization is an advocate, connector, partner, and resource for our local community.

Each year, Aloha United Way partners with more than 1,400 companies, organizations, and government entities to invest in building a more resilient Hawai‛i. It doesn’t matter the size of your organization or the industry that you represent, anyone can run a workplace giving campaign.

Hawaiʻi Gas employees have been contributing to the organization through a workplace giving campaign for at least 25 years. They host rallies at Hawaiʻi Gas locations across Oʻahu to get people excited and remind them of the impact their donations make, and plan creative fundraiser events during the campaign for employees to enjoy. It’s something employees look forward to and allows them to give back to the community as a group. When making donations, employees are encouraged to explore the AUW partner agency list and designate their campaign donations to causes that are near and dear to their hearts.
