Zia’s Caffe Is family owned and operated and has been at its Kaneohe location for 20 years. The staff there strives to work with products that support local and deliver on quality. Executive Chef Keith Endo is well known for his work as a craftsman of the culinary arts, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the little spot on the windward side.
“Our food here is very simple, and it’s very homey.” says owner Sophany Mao-Suderman. “It’s just almost like going to your aunt’s house, or your mom’s house, and then she feeds you spaghetti and meat balls. There’s something in that recipe that makes you feel like that was mom’s cooking.”
The must-try dishes at Zia’s? The Chicken Parmesan has been one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes since the beginning in 2001, and it’s massive! Zia’s also just recently added Beef Short Ribs to the menu, and it has quickly become a customer favorite. And if you love ravioli, be sure to give the restaurant’s Sweet potato Ravioli a try!
At the end of the day, Zia’s strives to be a beacon of aloha though service and great food. Currently, the restaurant is also offering a virtual wine dinner and wine education throughout the month.
“Our thing at Zia’s is that we’re gonna be here for the community,” says Mao-Suderman. “Stormy days, we like to be here to provide comfort and let them know we’re here for you.”
