New measures help Teapresso Bar customers get their boba fix safely

Sponsored by Teapresso Bar

Teapresso Bar has always been about fresh-brewed teas, organic ingredients, healthier alternatives, and most importantly, bringing people together. With restaurants beginning to reopen, Teapresso Bar chooses to take a pragmatic and responsible approach to fully reopening by gradually working its way back to the way its shops used to operate.

Since many Teapresso locations have limited seating space, it would be extremely difficult to properly maintain safe social distancing practices while enjoying some of the best boba tea drinks on the island. In an effort to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Teapresso will continue to operate as a grab-and-go facility for now. However, you can still order your drinks online and pick them up curbside.

Owner Steven Nguyen and his staff are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of both employees and staff, with multiple hand sanitizer stations available throughout Teapresso locations. There’s also colored lining the streets outside shops to properly social distance. Customers who arrive at the same time are encouraged to stay six feet apart, and Plexiglas windows have been installed in an effort to separate customers and staff. Masks and gloves are worn by every member of the Teapresso staff and contactless payments via credit card are encouraged.

As many in the local community continue to navigate these unprecedented times, Teapresso is still finding a way to support the community. Nguyen has implemented the “Buy a Mask, Give a Mask” initiative where everytime customers stop in at Teapresso and purchase a face mask, Teapresso will donate one to a local hospital.

About Teapresso Bar:

Teapresso Bar was founded in 2014 by Steve Nguyen who had a vision of bringing healthier drink alternatives to Hawaii. The first location opened on Bishop Street in downtown Honolulu and has since succeeded in positioning itself as a healthier alternative in the coffee and boba milk tea market. As of January 2019, there are currently 17 locations within the Hawaiian Islands. Also, in collaboration with ABC Stores, Teapresso drinks are served in ABC Stores on Oahu, Maui, Big Island and Kauai.
