Looking for some new flavors to up your game in the kitchen? For J’s Hawaii will be at the Made in Hawaii Festival from August 16-18 showcasing its gourmet flavored Hawaiian sea salts and sugars! HI Now host Jobeth Devera is in the kitchen with Janis Tanga to get a taste of what these products can do.
Before For J’s was founded, Tanga found great pleasure in sharing recipes with friends and family. Her Steak Poke was a family recipe that she brought to many potlucks and parties. It became so popular that Tanga would often get asked for the recipe and requests to cater the dish. Seeing that so many people enjoyed the dish, she wanted to share the Steak Poke sauce with her customers, so she bottled it.
For J’s Steak Poke Sauce was introduced to the public at the 2016 Made in Hawaii Festival and sold out on the second day of the event. Once people tasted the samples of the poke, they were sold.
Tanga says her family is passionate about food, and sharing these gourmet products is a way of spreading the aloha — from her ohana to yours!
