HONOLULU (HI Now) - Office of Hawaiian Affairs Board Chair Kaiali‘i Kahele joins HI Now Daily to discuss OHA’s upcoming televised candidate forums for the five Board of Trustees seats on the November 2026 General Election ballot. The forums will feature candidates for the Oahu, Maui and three At-Large seats and will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their priorities, their vision for OHA, and significant issues affecting Native Hawaiians and the lāhui. Chair Kahele explains why OHA is producing the forums and how they are intended to help voters make informed decisions before casting their ballots.
