HONOLULU (HI Now) - Child Passenger Safety Week is an opportunity to help parents and caregivers make sure Hawaii’s keiki are riding safely. Kaiser Permanente Hawaii is helping families prevent injuries by providing education and hands-on guidance on choosing and properly using car seats and booster seats. During the segment, Kaiser Permanente experts share what families should know about selecting the right seat for a child’s age and size, proper installation and fit and how safety needs change as children grow.
There are various car seat safety checks happening throughout our community. Kaiser Permanente Hawaiʻi will also host a free community car seat check this November, where families can get hands-on help from Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. The event is open to everyone, including families who are not Kaiser Permanente members.
