HONOLULU (HI Now) - Ka ʻAha Hoʻolauna Aloha (KAHĀ) is advancing Hawaiian cultural knowledge through aloha, collaboration, and meaningful opportunities for learning and connection across Hawaiʻi and the Hawaiian diaspora. In this segment, KAHĀ shares what is ahead for 2027, including its fifth annual conference, a new Keiki Hula Competition, the launch of the ʻIke Akamai Scholarship, and a Hawaiʻi Island huakaʻi rooted in ʻāina, ʻike, and pilina.
Through its five educational pathways, or ʻUmeke, ʻIke Hawaiʻi, Hula, Hana Noʻeau, Ola Pono, and Mālama ʻĀina, KAHĀ is creating spaces for kumu, cultural practitioners, haumāna, ʻohana, and communities to share knowledge, strengthen cultural connections, and carry ʻike Hawaiʻi forward for generations to come.
