HONOLULU (HI Now) - A local helping hand can completely transform a person’s life, especially during times of crisis and recovery.
To ensure that support reaches those who need it most, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi and Diamond Bakery are teaming up to raise awareness and vital funds for local families. These two historic organizations have joined forces to launch special edition food boxes, allowing residents to easily support critical social programs while shopping for their favorite local snacks.
A portion of the sales from these custom boxes, up to $15,000, will directly fund services that help build stronger and more resilient communities across the islands.
These special packages are designed to start important conversations about how residents can lift up their neighbors. Each limited edition box features real stories of individuals and families who have walked alongside the agency through challenges, natural disasters, and housing crises.
The boxes highlight four major areas of community care, including Youth Enrichment Services, Community and Senior Services, Family and Therapeutic Services, and Housing Assistance. By sharing these real faces of resilience, the campaign aims to inspire compassion and show that no one has to face difficult times alone.

Serving the state since 1947, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi assists more than 70,000 individuals each year from keiki to kupuna, regardless of their faith. Their wide reaching programs provide veteran services, immigrant support, counseling, and disaster relief, including recent aid for those impacted by the Maui wildfires and Kona Low storms.
They are also actively developing the Hale Pilina affordable housing project on Maui to secure long term stability for residents. Shoppers can find these special edition Diamond Bakery boxes at major grocery stores and retailers throughout the state.
