Since opening its doors 10 years ago, this flagship location has focused on bringing people together through delicious ready-to-eat meals and unique local products that support the island economy.
This anniversary milestone also brings exciting innovations designed to make supporting local businesses even easier.
Through a unique partnership with the workforce development nonprofit Piʻikū Co., local technology interns spent the summer redesigning and rebuilding the Maikaʻi Rewards mobile app.
This collaboration gives local talent valuable paid experience while creating a more reliable way for shoppers to track points, browse rewards, and stay updated on upcoming community promotions.

Shoppers can join the celebration throughout September during Maikaʻi Month, which features triple rewards points on popular local items like pre-marinated meats for family barbecues. Friendly store employees, some of whom have been with the location since day one, will also be sharing their favorite memories and handing out surprise gift cards to participating customers.
