HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Honolulu Emergency Services Department will be opening our recruitment for our Emergency Medical Technician I position. EMS spokesperson Shayne Enright shares what is new at the City’s Emergency Services Department and talks about this year’s recruitment for the Emergency Medical Technician I position. Applications will be accepted from August 30 until September 5, 2026. There will be a written exam in November for those who qualify.
