HONOLULU (HI Now) - The popular Made in Hawaii Festival returns to the Hawaii Convention Center from Aug. 20–23, bringing together hundreds of local vendors and thousands of shoppers for a massive showcase of island-made goods.

Central Pacific Bank (CPB) is returning as the official bank of the festival, highlighting its small business partners through a dedicated section called “CPB Lane.”

“At CPB, a core focus is supporting small businesses and being a true partner on their journey,” said Sharene Urakami- Oyama, VP and Small Business Market Manager at CPB. “We’re thrilled to feature ‘CPB Lane’ at the festival showcasing our incredible small business customers who are participating in the event.”

Participating vendors in CPB Lane include local brands like Big Island-based Papale Piko and popular lifestyle brand Coopmonsters.

To encourage support for island entrepreneurs, CPB is offering an exclusive perk for festival shoppers. Attendees who spend $25 or more in a single transaction at any CPB Lane vendor will receive a stamp card. Shoppers can bring their completed card to the CPB booth to play a game and win one of four tote bag designs.

For local business owners, the festival serves as a crucial launchpad and growth opportunity.

“The Made in Hawaii Festival is such an incredible event—it really is the ultimate venue for small businesses,” said Samantha Kim, founder, owner, and designer of Coopmonsters. “It provides an unmatched opportunity for local makers and entrepreneurs from across the state to showcase their products to tens of thousands of shoppers. The energy is amazing, and for a local brand, the exposure and growth potential from this single event is massive.”

Kim noted that CPB helps reduce the financial barrier for local artisans by subsidizing vendor fees for the event.
