HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Hawaiʻi Heart Walk is coming up Saturday, Aug. 15, at Kapi’olani Park. The event is more than just a walk, according to the American Heart Association. It’s a chance to come together, learn lifesaving CPR skills and support healthier lives across the islands.
AlohaCare CEO Francoise Culley-Trotman, who serves as this year’s Hawai’i Heart Walk Chair, stopped by Hawai’i Now Daily to talk about the Heart Walk and its focus of creating a community of lifesavers in Hawaiʻi.
American Heart Association volunteer Terrianne Butac Zonca also joined to share her inspiring story of surviving cardiac arrest after family members used CPR to save her life.
