HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Hawaiian Humane Society is offering a special opportunity to bring a new furry companion into your life.
Throughout the entire month of August, adoption fees are reduced by fifty percent at both the Moiliili and Kosasa Family campuses, as well as select Petco locations. This effort is part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters campaign, which helps open up critical space for incoming animals in need of care.Beautiful animals like Jill, a sweet one-year-old terrier mix who was found as a stray, are currently waiting to meet their forever families.
Looking ahead to the autumn season, pet lovers can plan for the highly anticipated PetWalk event at Kapiolani Regional Park on Saturday, October 24. This outdoor celebration brings together over one thousand pets and their owners for a morning featuring a group stretch, a scenic walk, and a festive costume contest. Every dollar raised during this event directly funds the care of more than thirteen thousand animals that enter the shelter each year.
Whether you are ready to adopt a new family member today or want to register for the upcoming community walk, there are many ways to support local animal welfare. You can sign up for the walk as an individual, join a fundraising team, or explore volunteer and fostering programs.
