HONOLULU (HI Now) - Christmas cheer is coming early this year, and it comes with a beat. Helping Hands Hawaiʻi is turning up the fun factor with Santa’s Summer Shake Up, a Christmas in July dance a thon that will bring people together for a fun afternoon directly supported by local families.
Happening Saturday, July 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Halawa District Park Gym in Aiea, the event features more than 20 Zumba instructors, festive music, and routines for every experience level. Whether you are a regular at dancing or just want a joyful way to move with friends and family, this is your excuse to get active and give back at the same time.
The why is simple. Helping Hands Hawaiʻi provides a fun social environment that improves quality of life. Santa’s Summer Shake Up is a community powered way to fuel that mission while celebrating healthy habits and connections. It is not just a party, it’s a reminder that small actions, like showing up and dancing, can make a real impact.
The event also includes a holiday giving moment. Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped gifts to support Helping Hands Hawaiʻi’s Adopt a Family campaign, helping brighten the season for local children and families later this year. Admission is a 12 dollar pre sale donation or 15 dollars at the door. Festive red and green outfits are highly encouraged.
