Dress up and show out for My Fair Lady at Hawaiʻi Theatre Pride Month gets a vintage twist at Hawaiʻi Theatre June 9 with My Fair Lady, a fascinator contest, and community vibes. Tickets at HawaiiTheatre.com.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Pride Month is all about connection, and the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation is making it easy and joyful to show up for community. It feels fun, welcoming and full of heart! Their Kūpuna Movie Mornings with Hawaiʻi Theatre Center were created to bring people together, especially LGBTQIA+ kūpuna and allies who asked for more chances to socialize and feel less isolated.

This Tuesday, June 9, the historic Hawaiʻi Theatre turns into the perfect daytime escape. A big screen showing of My Fair Lady from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. expect Audrey Hepburn style, Rex Harrison charm, and a classic musical you can truly sink into.

The vibe is vintage and fabulous, and everyone is invited to dress the part. Guests are encouraged to wear a fascinator or bold statement headpiece for a pre-show best dressed contest, with a prize that keeps the celebration going. The winner takes home a VIP pass to the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival in July, a three-day experience that brings even more stories and community to the Hawaiʻi Theatre.

Kūpuna Movie Mornings is just one piece of the foundation’s Pride 365 work. This includes year-round programs like Rainbow Support Circles and community town halls designed to create safe, inclusive spaces where people can show up as themselves and feel supported.
