HONOLULU (HI Now) - Protosure Inc., a Hawaii-based technology company, is expanding beyond its commercial success into new dual-use opportunities after participating in PICHTR’s Hawaii Wave Dual-Use Incubator, a program supported by the Hawaii Technology Development Corp.

CEO Urijah Kaplan joined HI Now Daily to discuss how Protosure’s advanced no-code and AI platform helps organizations automate complex business workflows, with a strong focus on insurance operations. The company has already demonstrated its technology with major enterprise customers in Japan, including a partnership with Toshiba and Sompo Japan, one of Japan’s largest insurance companies. According to Sompo, the automated insurance platform saved approximately 80% compared with expected costs.

Through the Hawaii Wave program, Protosure is now exploring how its technology, which already supports demanding commercial customers, can also serve government, public-sector and defense-adjacent organizations facing complex operational challenges. A key lesson from the program was learning how to translate the platform’s capabilities for new audiences, including explaining how it fits government needs, security requirements and real-world missions.

Protosure’s mission is to help companies turn complicated business processes into easy-to-use software, enabling organizations to move faster, reduce manual work and modernize important operations. To learn more, visit protosure.io.
