Waikiki SPAM JAM returns with new SPAM Dog, OluKai collaboration and restaurant week deals Waikiki SPAM JAM returns Saturday with the new SPAM Dog, an OluKai collab debut and restaurant week deals running through May 4.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Honolulu’s beloved Waikiki SPAM JAM is back this Saturday, April 26, from 4 to 10 p.m. in Waikiki, bringing with it a slate of new offerings for SPAM fans across Hawaii. Robbie Koons, senior brand manager at Hormel, and Michelle Whitton of the Waikiki SPAM JAM Committee joined HI Now Daily to preview the festivities.

Koons highlighted that SPAM has been part of people’s lives for 89 years, with the brand’s 90th anniversary approaching. He noted that Hawaii holds a uniquely deep connection to SPAM, where the product has become woven into the culture and daily life unlike anywhere else in the world.

Among the biggest announcements at this year’s event is a new four-piece collaboration collection with OluKai, the Hawaii-rooted footwear brand. The collection makes its world debut at SPAM JAM this weekend, officially launching April 25. Koons said both brands share a deep connection to Hawaii and the partnership is a celebration of island spirit.

Also debuting is the SPAM Dog, a new convenience food product that combines the iconic SPAM flavor with a classic hot dog. The SPAM Dog is available to try at SPAM JAM and can also be found at ABC Stores across Oahu. Topping options range from classic mustard and relish to kimchi, pineapple aioli and chipotle mayo.

For those who cannot attend the street festival, Whitton noted that participating Waikiki restaurants are serving creative SPAM-inspired dishes as part of a special restaurant week running April 19 through May 4. Menu highlights include SPAM Eggs Benedict, SPAM ramen and SPAM poke tacos. Fans can also visit SPAM.com to explore flavors, find recipes and shop merchandise.
