HONOLULU (HI Now) - Duke’s Waikiki is bringing its culinary flair to the 22nd annual Waikiki Spam Jam, one of Hawaii’s largest food festivals, set for Saturday, April 25, from 4 to 10 p.m. on Kalakaua Avenue. As one of the festival’s original participating restaurants, Duke’s Executive Chef Matt Young will be serving two varieties of Spam Katsu Sandwiches: a Pineapple Sesame Slaw with Teriyaki Glaze and a Black Bean and Corn Slaw with Cheddar Cheese and Mango BBQ Sauce. The free street festival celebrates Hawaii’s love of Spam and benefits the Hawaii Foodbank, Waikiki Community Center and the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii. A check presentation to the Hawaii Foodbank is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at the Outrigger Stage, and a drone show over Waikiki Beach is set for 8:30 p.m. OluKai will also be selling a limited-edition Spam slipper at their booth.
