Hōkūleʻa Concert Week - Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall
Inspired by the legacy of Hōkūleʻa and Polynesian voyaging traditions, this special concert week connects music, culture, and history through a dynamic, multi-sensory experience. Performances will feature projected imagery of Hōkūleʻa, including archival stills and original artwork, bringing the story to life on stage.
- April 15 – Education Concerts
- Two day time performances engaging students across O‘ahu, fostering connection with music and cultural storytelling for the next generation.
- Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 AM – Beyond the Music
- A one-hour, family-friendly concertfeaturing musical excerptswith narration.
- Pre-concert activities begin at 9:45 AM with the Hawai‘iYouth
- Symphony Instrument Zoo and Polynesian Voyaging Society wayfinding activities.
- Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 PM – Masterworks Concert
- A full-scale performance featuring an opening oli with past and presentcrewmembers, the O‘ahuChoral Society, and actor Moses Goods as narrator.

- HSO ensembles perform in hospitals, clinics,and medical centers across the island, sharing the message that music is medicine.
- May 2 – “In C” at Bishop Museum (Admission Required)
- An immersive presentation of Terry Riley’sminimalist masterpiece, offering a unique, non-traditional concert experience.
