HONOLULU (HI Now) - Purple Maiʻa, represented by Makanaohaililani Waikiki, will appear on HI Now Daily to discuss Eahou Fest 2026, a conference-meets-festival taking place in Mōʻiliʻili, Oʻahu. Rooted in the theme of Kīhoʻihoʻi Kānāwai, the restoration of ancestral ecological law and the relationship with ʻāina, the multi-day event weaves skill-building, collective design, technology, art, music and community activation. Highlights include the Eahou Global Co-Hort, featuring 30 leaders, practitioners and innovators from around the world who participated in a six-month learning cohort focused on building economic independence rooted in ancestral intelligence. The festival also features an inaugural Eahou Short Film Festival celebrating stories of ea and sovereignty, and a Nite Mākeke showcasing local vendors and community makers, closing with a pua-themed fashion show.
