HONOLULU (HI Now) - Papa Ola Lōkahi, a nonprofit dedicated to powering health and well-being among Native Hawaiians and their families, will appear on HI Now Daily to discuss its sponsorship of the ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi broadcast and the Hawaiian Word of the Week segment. The organization, represented by Momi Tolentino, emphasizes that connection to Hawaiian language, culture and identity is directly linked to greater overall well-being. Papa Ola Lōkahi supports Hawaiian language access so that younger generations can draw on the strengths of indigenous knowledge, stories, genealogy and language. The organization’s Friday feature has highlighted Hawaiian language speakers from across professions, generations and communities throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
