HONOLULU (HI Now) - Kumu Hula Troy Lazaro of Hula O Hinano joined HI Now Daily to discuss the cultural significance of hula and the 63rd annual Merrie Monarch Festival. Speaking alongside as a representative of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, Lazaro reflected on hula as a healing practice and a living tradition thriving across the Hawaiian Islands and around the world.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority supports 19 signature events statewide and its commitment to promoting respectful, culturally mindful tourism for both visitors and local communities.
