HONOLULU (HI Now) - Windward Community College offers two fully online programs grounded in ʻike Hawaiʻi: the Hawaiʻiloa Online Hawaiian Studies AA degree and the Kaʻohekani Online Hawaiian Music certificate.

Designed in an 8-week cohort format, both programs allow students to deepen their connection to Hawaiian knowledge, language, music, and community while balancing work and family responsibilities. The fully online structure makes it possible for learners across Hawaiʻi and the continental U.S. to continue their education while staying connected to home.

Students learn directly from experienced educators and respected practitioners, gaining knowledge that supports both personal growth and professional advancement. Hawaiʻiloa provides a pathway toward a bachelor’s degree, while Kaʻohekani offers a one-year certificate focused on Hawaiian music performance and cultural context.

Native Hawaiians living anywhere in the U.S. pay the same in-state tuition as Hawaiʻi residents, supporting greater access to education.
