HONOLULU (HI Now) - During the month of April, Make-A-Wish Hawaii will join other Make-A-Wish chapters, affiliates and supporters worldwide to celebrate the power of wishes for World Wish Month. Wishes don’t come true by luck or chance. They come true because of WishMakers. During World Wish Month, we are sending a powerful message to wish kids: Every child with a critical illness deserves a wish to give them strength and hope, and we will stop at nothing to grant the wish of every eligible child. During World Wish Month, corporate partners, including Jamba Hawaii, will be activating to raise money and rally their customers to help grant wishes.
Jamba Hawaii invites the community to “Blend It Forward” in support of Make-A-Wish Hawaii as part of World Wish Month. From April 1 through 30, guests can make a meaningful impact by donating at checkout at any Jamba Hawaii location. Donations between $1 and $249 per transaction will go directly toward granting wishes for local keiki across the islands. To further amplify community impact, Jamba Hawaii will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000, doubling the collective contribution to Make-A-Wish Hawaii!
On April 1, as Maui Divers Jewelry will donate 100% of online sales to Make-A-Wish Hawaii! They’ve done this incredible campaign the last two years, raising nearly $75,000 to support Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s mission. Plus, Chick-fil-A will donate 10% of chicken strip sales from its Oahu locations, and Big Island Candies will donate 5% of all BIC Crunch Bar sales throughout April, in-store at Ala Moana Center and in Hilo all month, and online April 17–19.
The wishes that Make-A-Wish Hawaii grants wouldn’t be possible without the support of WishMakers stepping up throughout the process. A WishMaker is anyone who donates their time, talent or treasure to Make-A-Wish. We need more WishMakers across the state to bring the life-changing impact of a wish to every eligible child in Hawaii. All money raised in Hawaii grants wishes for children with critical illnesses across the state. The best place to sign up, whether you want to volunteer or make a gift, is to visit our website, hawaii.wish.org.
