May Day celebration returns to Waikiki Shell with hula, Hawaiian music May Day celebration at Waikiki Shell on May 1 features Hawaiian music, hula performances, and award-winning artists beginning at 7 p.m.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - A May Day celebration featuring Hawaiian music and hula will take place May 1, 2026, at the Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell in Waikiki. The event, presented by KUmZ, will feature performances by kumu hula Karl Veto Baker and Michael Lanakila Casupang, Ikaika Blackburn, Natalie Ai and Iolani Kamau’u, Mālie Lyman, and Hālau I Ka Wēkiu. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with performances beginning at 7 p.m.
