HONOLULU (HI Now) - Taqueria Hawaiʻi, a family-run food truck, is bringing together authentic Mexican street food and island-inspired fusion flavors to farmers markets across O’ahu.
Owners Ruben Yanez and Summer Liang founded Taqueria Hawaiʻi as a family operation, with all members of the family contributing to the business. The truck serves fresh, grilled, made-to-order items including tacos, bao burritos, and homemade salsa.
Taqueria Hawaiʻi’s menu combines traditional Mexican street taco recipes with island and Asian fusion influences. The owners said they continue to develop new fusion flavors and special menu items. Signature offerings include bao burritos and fresh-grilled tacos prepared on-site at each event.
Taqueria Hawaiʻi operates at the Kakaako Farmers Market on Saturdays and the Kailua Farmers Market on Sundays. The truck also appears at local events across Hawaiʻi.
