HONOLULU (HI Now) - Mana + Pua, a restaurant located on the second floor of SALT at Our Kaka’ako, combines fresh local ingredients with global culinary influences in a dining space designed to bring the community together.
Owner Ashleigh Corallo said the restaurant’s name draws on local nostalgia and Hawaiian meaning. “Mana” refers to the energy and spirit put into service, while “Pua” reflects the way flavors are intended to bloom on the plate. Corallo said the name is also a nod to the manapua, a childhood snack familiar to many in Hawai’i.
The restaurant’s design incorporates colors and elements from the local landscape. Corallo said the goal was to create a space that feels both fresh and familiar — a gathering spot for the community to come together over food and culture. Mana + Pua is located next to Lani Sot and across from Pitch Sports Bar within the SALT complex.
Guests can make reservations through the restaurant’s website or by calling (808) 462-1368. SALT at Our Kaka’ako will also host a Bunny Bash on Sunday, April 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. in The Barn, featuring Easter Bunny photos, keiki crafts, and a prize wheel with offerings from merchants across the center.
