HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Early College Program at Chaminade University offers motivated high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to experience college-level coursework while still in high school.
Through this program, students can earn university credits—and in some partnerships, an Associate degree—before graduating from high school, giving them a head start on their college education and future career goals.
Participants in the Early College Program engage with Chaminade’s faculty, take real college courses, and gain exposure to university life, academic expectations, and campus resources. They have access to academic advising, tutoring, and student support services to help ensure success as they transition to full‑time college.
The program is designed to make higher education more accessible, help students reduce future college costs, and better prepare them for continuing their education after high school. Accepted students may earn college credits that count toward future degree programs, and in some school partnerships (such as with Sacred Hearts Academy), students can complete both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree simultaneously.
